There was gold in these here mountains. Billions worth, and much of it was layed over, for hours or months, in the many safes and vaults this town once had, far past the national per-capita. Today, if you swing open those two-ton doors and peer into the crevices, little remains of the treasure but a collection of stories.

A slow burning fire destroys a house on Lima's south side. The fire at 542 East Second Street started near the home's furnace and spread to the rest of the house including the second floor attic and down into the crawl space.
